Minecraft Creations Jan/Feb 2011, Great Tree, Treefortress, and Temple of Air and other randoms

These shots are from the two of the server world resets we experienced on Tribalfield, these introduced the leveling system ie you had to level up to use different kinds of materials and also the Tribal system, where you were part of a certain tribal community and had a unique attribute to that tribe i.e a Spirit tribe's members did not take damage from falling and a Water tribe's members did not run out of breath. Our Tribe was Air faction and was named Zephyri Procellae we had some kind of power which allowed to not be squashed by other blocks which had it's uses in some places.

Also at this time I had started using Misa's realistic Texture Pack which changed the look of minecraft greatly I have to admit now I find i can't even go back to the old look. Thats the trouble with user-made game modifications you become accustomed to them and whenever there's an update to the game they usually cease to work and because you refuse to play the game without them you have to scramble to find a latest version and if this particular mod is not being developed anymore you need to find a suitable replacement. It was the same story with World of Warcraft which I now have taken a break from.

The Great Tree

I always had an idea to make a gigantic tree and cut out a living space inside of it but it was difficult with the way trees grow in minecraft though all they need is one dirt block to place the saplings on, so i decided to grow a patch of trees and place saplings on the tops and side so it sprouted upwards, I was quite pleased with the results though with the server restrictions i couldnt quite get to the top :( .

Tree Fortress

This rather odd looking structure emerged from the 2nd server reset I experienced where the monsters in minecraft were activated on the server. I built the entire structure starting from a hole in the ground I first grew the trees then made the treehouse then added the walls and moat pit afterwards this provided me maximum protection from zomabies etc.

The Temple of Air

This I made for my tribe Zephyri Procellae which is based on "Zerphr" also known as Zephyrus the Latin god of wind, it's made using the single stone slabs trick.

Randoms

That there is Diamond ore and quite alot of it in the one spot

I think my character looks quite good in full leather armor

Statue of JD

Because of my mass egotism I decided to build a giant statue of myself in my own town , I play Minecraft wearing a particularly lame Domo-kun skin hence the resemblance.

This here is the originally 5x5 block cave I mined to get all the cobble to smelt

Random things

These are just a few things i've come across in the minecraft world, all on Tribalfield server

Animals! lots of them

Whoopsies!, this is where I learned that fire can spread, just like real life

 Lava just sitting on the surface, no idea how it gets there

Fortress of JD

After my treehouse was destroyed the hackers actually put giant waterfalls of lava above the ruins probably so it could never be made again but with the help of harro223 who was an admin we poured water over the lava waterfalls this cooling it into cobblestone, I decided to make a new house out of the huge towers of cobblestone and the debris that remained making quite an interesting result.

Mini-House

This was a sort of a joke creation which I contributed to mystic_duck and wagapm's 'Valleytown'

JD Heaven

This idea started when I wanted to make myself a sort of cloud-house in the sky out of wool, i ended up making some kind of throne in the sky made almost entirely out of glass and wool.

Dragon Age Origins

Playing Dragon Age origins at the moment, it's possibly the first RPG that I've played for  long period and it's quite good

Minecraft Creations Nov/Dec 2010, Big Cave and Treehouse

These shots are back from when I first started playing Minecraft they were taken on my ever popular server Tribalfield

Giant Cave

This was a particularly large cave I found while exploring on the server , there didnt happen to be anyone there at the time but they had been there from the looks of the furnaces and workbenches, I doubt they could have mined all that out by themselves though.

Treehouse

This was originally the pride and joy of my existance on Tribalfield I had found place for myself and started a treehouse that was build on the tops of multiple giant trees, and this is what was created.

 

Unfortunately for me this house was relatively short lived as while me and my good friend kakashi57 werer working on my farm our server was apparently hacked, this started off with little things at first (ie random spawning obsidian) then it just got crazy, we started shitting out feathers then cobble then gold and diamond blocks then MOB SPAWNERS followed by mobs, then TNT all of the while we were running around like headless chickens, inevitably the TNT blew up part of my treehouse which set it on fire thus resulting in this:

 I took it all in stride as there wasnt really much I could do, all in all it was quite a fun (and scary) event for all involved inc: kakashi57, mystic_duck, chaote, angrathar, carceous, lupidoo and special thanks to harro223 for his help with cleaning up the mess.
